In my dream I saw people at the dentist office with a broken tooth. People were worried that their tooth was dead and that it would be painful and costly to fix it because they were listening to other people’s opinions. They had such fear and anger thinking it would be like they had in the past. The dentist came in and said to them don’t worry about your tooth it will cost you nothing and you won’t have any pain. I am about to do the opposite of what you thought. I will just smooth out your tooth. Trust me! So the people trusted him and followed him to his room and things were better and smoothed out. After that the dentist invited everyone to a big party. The song Happy Days was playing and the dentist wanted people to enjoy themselves and laugh and feel good.
Broken teeth in my dream symbolized anguish, mourning, and bitterness. Some of you are looking at something that seems dead telling God you don’t know how he will fix it. You can’t get into the place of worry and old seasons.
These old seasons you may have felt anguish, mourning and bitterness. Keep it in the past. Stop listening to other people’s opinions and start listening to God’s opinion. The dentist in my dream was the Lord. He will smooth things out just like he smoothed the tooth. He is doing the opposite of what you thought. You can’t afford to entertain the things of the past. The Lord said it will cost you nothing but to trust him.
“Trust in the Lord completely, and do not rely on your own opinions. With all your heart rely on him to guide you, and he will lead you in every decision you make.” Proverbs 3:5(TPT)
He is moving many of us in different opposite directions from what we thought. We may feel like they will be dead places because we don’t think the way the Lord thinks.
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:8-9(NIV)
But he has such a plan for our unexpected paths. We have to follow him and trust what he is doing even if we don’t understand it. We need to be obedient.
Some of the paths he is leading us to seem out in left field or wrong, totally the opposite of what we thought. Like the post I wrote a few weeks ago opposites attract. But as we follow him in obedience to these unexpected places he will bring breakthrough and blessings. Follow his rhythm, his pace, his speed, and his sound tick-tock tick-tock snap crackle pop!
“My feet have closely followed his steps; I have kept his way without turning aside.” Job 23:11
Many are hesitant to take this unexpected path because it’s so opposite and they think it will be another painful dying process just like in my dream. They thought their tooth would be painful and die. Don’t think to the past things and go backwards. You are in the right place and moving forward.
Seeing breakthrough and blessings will feel like a fun party. He is inviting us to come and then enjoy ourselves. I heard the song Happy Days from the old TV show from the 1970’s-1980’s which I haven’t heard in forever. He will be bringing Happy Days to you. Not all of the lyrics stood out to me but the ones that did are… He wants are days to be Happy. This day is ours, oh please be mine. Hello sunshine, goodbye rain. These Happy Days are yours and mine. Happy and free share them with me.
“Give me revelation about the meaning of your ways so I can enjoy the reward of following them fully. Give me an understanding heart so that I can passionately know and obey your truth. Guide me into the paths that please you, for I take delight in all that you say. Cause my heart to bow before your words of wisdom and not to the wealth of this world. Help me turn my eyes away from illusions so that I pursue only that which is true; drench my soul with life as I walk in your paths. Reassure me of your promises, for I am your beloved, your servant who bows before you. Defend me from the criticism I face for keeping your beautiful words. See how I long with cravings for more of your ways? Let your righteousness revive my spirit!” Psalm 119:33-40(TPT)
Love and Blessings,
